Virgin Media Broadband Speed Check!

by Cobby on Aug.17, 2010, under Njaka ~ Trouble ~ Solutions?, Virgin Media Cable

This is a list of Speed checks on my Virgin Media cable connection. I was sold and pay for a 50Meg XXL unlimited package?
What a Rip-Off?
These are completely random samples which I am taking and updating when I take them. We recently had a 7 day outage from Virgin and it was shrugged off as simply something that would be fixed when they get round to it. Luckily I have a second ADSL connection through BE (www.bethere.co.uk) on a BT landline. BE are an excellent company with good equipment.  I must say that BE give you what they say on the box and their customer service has been excellent. The Virgin and BE connections are Load shared over a Draytec dual band router. This way I can counteract the continual and persistent problems I have with my very very slow 50meg XXL connection from Virgin.

Mozilla Thunderbird redirect location of Data Files.

by Cobby on Jan.08, 2010, under Njaka ~ Trouble ~ Solutions?

I often work from different computers on my network and need to access my downloaded emails no matter where I worked from.

Have been using Mozilla Thunderbird for quite some time as I monitor 4 different mail boxes and download and send the emails from my local computer.

Mozilla Thunderbird can be setup so that you use a server to store the information and then by making changes to the “profiles.ini" file in your profile in the various computers you use to point at a common file location for your Thunderbird you always have the latest information available.

Here are the basic steps I took to accomplish this;

1. Located the information I required to accomplish this;
Link to ;  Move an existing profile or restore a backed up profile

2. Found the directory on my server which contained the profile being used by Thunderbird.

3. Set this directory so that it can be shared across my network and named it appropriately.

4. Then found the directory which was being used by Mozilla Thunderbird on my remote computer, and located the “profiles.ini” file which resides in the “%\Thunderbird\Profiles” directory.

5. Open the “profiles.ini” file,  after making a backup of the original file, and made the changes to direct Mozilla Thunderbird to the server to load the profile from their.
The following change must also be made on the “profiles.ini” file;
Change IsRelative=1 to IsRelative=0 (Zero as in number)

Top SEO company Smart Traffic.

by Cobby on Jan.05, 2010, under Njaka ~ Trouble ~ Solutions?

It is really difficult sometimes to embark on a new project, and find those trusted companies that are honest and real. The Internet world is fraught with scammers and opportunists who are out to collect your money without the delivery of real service. Every now and then you get the opportunity to meet a real gem of a company who do what they say and answer your queries.  These companies are often major contributors to your success or failure.

Our driving school business has been greatly supported by Smart Traffic.

A word of thanks to Dan and his team.

LinkMarket.com Help – only by Ticket – Review?

by Cobby on Dec.21, 2009, under Linkmarket Ticket help system ~ Review

Link Market ~ Review.

I really am at a loss here. Some time back I opened a ticket requesting information about the removal of broken links. The question at the time was as links adding is automated because I am a member is link removal also automated. The answer I got was yes it was just click on the remove tag and it is all done. Now I find out this is not the case. I have to manually go and remove the broken links!
That really just defeats the object. I have had such bad experience with this help of yours in the past. It just painful having to go through this again?

Do you or don’t you have automatic broken link removal. I have been a customer for ever and a day and paid you sacks of money. Please give me decent response.
Please refer to the following Blog as I will be posting your reply and and my queries.
